"HONKY TONK BLUES" by LSG
I grew up on a rural route and we spent a lot of summers up on the diary farm so I'm very familiar with that special kind of wanderlust a country boy gets to go see what's in the city and maybe meet some girls and definitely soak down the suds.
But just like every place else that city life gets old too and it's back to the farm for some peace of mind.
One of the first bands I was in did a rendition of this song and it was only one of the two songs the other guitar player, Dave, sang. My folks wondered why I didn't sing the song as Dave, bhh (bless his/her heart), was not a singer.

Cocoa Beach at a place formerly known as Desperado's.
Front Left to Right: Peggy Caswell Keyboards (RIP Breast cancer), David Strickland Guitar (RIP Lung cancer non-smoker) Sue Strickland Vocals(Dave's wife).
Back Left to Right: Mike "Moose" Cory Bass. Back Right is the drummer Kurt Caswell Drummer and brother-in-law to Peggy (I think!?)
This was the only time my parents had ever come to watch the band because my uncle Gene and Aunt Dorinda had come to visit and they liked live music. My mom normally refused to go where alcohol was served. We didn't play often enough to be any good but it was a "hobby" band.
I also learned a lot of music and picked up a few tricks. Every step along the way should always lead to growth even if only learning what notes NOT to play. LSG
