Live and Let Live

Life on planet Earth or at least that's what we the inhabitants are calling it these days. Now you may wonder if I'm talking about life, Earth or both as far as what we call it. Maybe you didn't even want to think about it while you were having your morning movement. Some days it comes out easy; other days it feels like it's one of them hard stools, bringing a tear to your eye, coming out sideways.

Any man that says giving birth ain't nothin' special shouldn't be listened to beyond that point. That is some of the dumbest, vile and disrespectful doctrine I've ever heard being spewed forth by evangelicals. They really control their women on a whole other level. If some women want to be submissive and live that lifestyle that's their choice as far as I'm concerned, but when they hate on other women for wanting to use their mind or their free will in another way, evangelicals just can't leave it alone.

What inspired me to talk about a pain in the ass? A distant bible-thumper relation to my wife contacted the publisher of the local monthly paper that runs some of my locally related musings to complain about the sexual content of my stories. It’s not like I’m writing a Penthouse Forum letter or kiss and tell stories.

Evangelicals have surrendered their logic and reason for beliefs, and they feel persecuted by anybody who does not share their brand of superstition. Evangelicals would ban every book and every other religion in the name of their god, the one that some of them say they hear talking to them in their head. Others spend their whole life reading one book, one view, doing deep dive after deep dive down that rabbit hole, to the exclusion of all other information. Over the centuries they have twisted the words to suit their desired outcome. But they're not a cult according to polite society. A $1 billion mindfuck industry, tax free.

Evangelicals call theirs the one and only way to a heaven that's beyond the misery of this planet. Claiming to be the ONLY moral compass that god recognizes, is so arrogant that it is beyond the pale of reason.

For some people desperate for love and belonging, to escape the loneliness that's often accompanied by life on planet Earth, religions offer, "come as you are and we'll accept you until you learn our ways." Unless of course you got a lot of money then you don't have to change, you just have to pay your way into heaven by buying the church a new air conditioning system or new robes for the choir. Sorry, but even Paul the apostle, not the Beatle, said that if you’re going to spread bullshit, taking money for it puts the stink on it.

As far as sexual content and the bible goes, my biggest bitch about the whole experience as someone who was raised evangelical, was having my penis mutilated at birth. I didn't have a whole lot to begin with and really? They had to chop off the part with the most nerves in it, the funnest part! Guess I'll never know what that feels like.

These people don't belong telling anybody anything. Oh yeah, it's framed as some "holy covenant" that Abraham made with God but I don't see what that has to do with me and my little penis.

I can just imagine how that conversation went. Abraham, at age 99, gathering everyone around-

"Yeah, so I just talked to God and we, I mean he- decided that we need to chop off the ends of our penises to show how much we love and obey our heavenly father."

Then Abraham, with a blood stained crotch having previously self circumcised, commenced to chopping the ends of all the other penises under his control, even the ones he purchased from foreign lands (slaves), (Genesis, chapter 17) and all the other households he could convince... or murder. Could you imagine going through that as an adult? Babies who are circumsized play with it more. Babies first trauma…Thanks stupid tradition cloaked in non-scientific reasoning.

Another thing they imitated from the Egyptians. I wonder how many dudes died of gangrene and infections from having their genitals mutilated? But it’s just considered "God's will" when people die. What a twisted deity men created.

I was "saved" or "born again" right around puberty because we were taught that even thinking about playing with it was evil, such thoughts were of the devil and the devil is everywhere. We were already told that we are all sinners not worthy of the love of God and destined for Hell.

I didn't want to go to hell but I couldn't help it. The most natural thing in the world to do and for some reason the creator, knowing full well with which the intensity and desire burns within a young man's balls, says, and I paraphrase, "if your eyes cause you to sin, pluck them out! For it's better to go to heaven blind then go to hell looking at the dick in your hand and thinking about the object of your lust."

Men desire praise and worship so they assumed a god would like his ass kissed too. I've never understood why a god would desire praise and worship from inferior beings, anyway. Does he need us in order to feel good? To feel important? Does human suffering bring him pleasure?

Human beings have sacrificed cows, chickens, goats, the fattened calf, virgins etc... But Jesus, he was the final sacrifice, this time for sure. If you want something done you have to do it yourself, I guess. Jesus was allegedly god's seed, implanted in a virgin Jewish girl by the Holy Spirit in order to “save” the world from sin.

It’s that first sin thing with Adam and his second wife Eve. Lilith was his first wife that god made out of clay just like Adam making them equals. She split because she wasn’t willing to be submissive so that is why god made Eve out of Adam’s rib, making her a part of him, therefore beholding and submissive to his will.

The big chasm between Christians and Muslims and the reason the other must die... For Christians it's father, son and Holy Spirit equals God; whereas for the Muslims and the Islamic faith, all there is is Allah. Muhammad was just the sacred arbiter, prophet of Allah's word. He also wrote his own book which is something Jesus didn't do. Both faiths separate us by believers and infidels because they know for sure that these made up books came from god's ass, I mean, mouth...

All in an effort to appease the higher power, the creator, the gods... We were scared of the thunder but needed the rain so we killed the chicken to appease the thunder god... As a child I understood as a child, but as a man, this shit don't make no sense...

Hard to believe something just dropped your spirit off on this planet and you don't get to leave until you die. In the meantime, depending where a soul manifests, they mutilate your penis, fill you with shame and guilt and other ridiculous traditions and dogma, to please the creator. And don't forget about female genitalia mutilation- even our sweet sisters aren’t immune from the twisted notions of the religious.

You would think a bronze age tradition like that would've died out by now but back in the Victorian age it was repurposed as a cure for masturbation because sexual desire was “dangerous and sinful” and circumcision was promoted as a way to reduce boys’ sexual pleasure so they wouldn't be tempted to touch themselves in an impure manner.

There was nothing wrong with God's "perfect design" of the penis anyway, would be my argument. Though he could've made the balls a little more protected from impact. And don't give me that hygiene bullshit, you wipe your ass don't you? You can keep the smegma cleaned out...

The most dangerous thing evangelicals are doing are spreading the propaganda that America is a Christian nation when the first amendment clearly points out that the Government does not recognize any religion. It just says you can worship whatever the fuck you want to worship or not. More division.

The sexually repressed individuals who complain about people that don't have the same hangups as they do will go behind your back and tell your boss that you are the enemy from within and the next thing you know you ain't got a job because of somebody else's beliefs.

Whatever happened to live and let live? if you don't like something you're reading turn the page, pick up a different book, change the channel, you can always turn the radio off if you don't like the song but most importantly, if you can't have fun, don't go.

Takes all kinds to make up life on planet Earth. Treat others like you would want to be treated. The world would be a beautiful place if we would just do that one thing, no violence of the cross needed. ☮️❤️😊🎶🖖
